Currently, the number of certified accountants “CA” (Chartered Accountant) is still very less compared to the needs. The role of “CA” is not only needed in the domestic scope but also has the opportunity to work at a cross-country level. The Indonesian Accountants Association (IAI) determines the designation “CA” as an accountant with international standard qualifications. The PPAk Perbanas study program is present with the aim of preparing professional accountants by providing a curriculum in accordance with IAI competency standards and KKNI (Indonesian National Qualifications Framework) level 7 competency standards. PPAk Perbanas is committed to preparing its students to be able to take the exam and successfully achieve the title “CA” from IAI and from other accounting associations such as IAPI (Indonesian Institute of Public Accountants).

PPAk graduates are prepared to fill functions and top positions within the scope as defined by the IAI as referenced in the IAI booklet entitled “CA determines your success”.

  1. Managerial with positions as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), Director of Operations & Treasury as a signatory of financial statements.
  2. Operational, with positions as Business Unit Controller, Financial & Performance Analyst, Cost Accounting Manager, HR Manager, Business Support Manager.
  3. Management Control, with positions as Business Assurance Manager, Risk Manager, Compliance Manager, Internal Auditor.
  4. Accounting & stakeholder Communication, as Group Controller, Head of Reporting. Investor Relations Manager, Finance & Accounting Manager.
  5. Academic
    A CA has the ability to occupy positions as lecturers, faculty / university leaders.
  6. Public Sector
    A CA has the ability to hold a position as an official responsible for the financial statements of a public sector entity.
  7. Auditor
    A CA has the ability to hold a position as an auditor in an entity or institution. (Following the provisions of the applicable law)
  8. Establishing KJA
    A CA can establish accounting services such as bookkeeping services, financial statement compilation services, management services, management accounting, management consulting, tax services, agreed procedure services on financial information, and information technology system services.

For students who are interested in continuing their studies in the Perbanas Master of Accounting study program (Prodi), PPAk courses that have been passed can be recognized in the Master of Accounting course. Thus, the student’s graduation time becomes shorter. Students who have graduated from the Master of Accounting study program are entitled to get the title “M.Ak” and at the same time the title “CA” if they have passed the competency exam organized by IAI.
